The UFS will be hosting a Kovsie Open which will take place on 1 May 2010. The Kovsie Open Day provides an opportunity for potential future UFS students to come and sample the distinctive quality offered by the UFS, in preparation for the various career fields. The Kovsie Open Day therefore allows for the future students to seek information regarding the various academic programmes offered by the UFS as well as their future careers.
The Kovsie Open Day will take place at the Callie Human Centre on the Main Campus of the UFS in Bloemfontein. The Official Opening will start at 09:00 with a welcoming address by the Rector and Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jonathan Jansen, followed by introductions of the various deans of faculties. Moses Masitha, the president of the Student Representative Council (SRC), and the Dean of Student Affairs, Rudi Buys, will also be introduced to prospective students and parents of the university.
At 11:00 prospective students and their parents will be visiting the university’s respective faculties and their facilities. Our students and residences will present an exciting programme in front of the Main Building.
