| Do you think it is wise for the SRC to boycott the intervarsity this year? | Before we publish every edition of our student newspaper, IRAWA, our journalists randomly select and ask students from around the campus to render their personal views with regards to a relevant topic of the time. This week we asked four students to give us their take on the SRCs plans to boycott the intervarisity-of which the date is to be confirmed. Please note that the views expressed here are personal views of the repondents and IRAWA does not reject or endorse the rendered views of students. This is what they had to say: | | |

Intervarsity is recreational and expose UFS students to other Varsity cultures which is eye opening. It develops and also forms part of education. So, they will be defeating the purpose or goal of the UFS, which is to achieve academic and sport excellence | | Tlotlo Leburu |

| | Stefan Lombard |

| | | Intervarsity is nice, it is a way to get culture. You meet new people and basically socialise, you get to see how other varsities are.

I do not think it is wise. I do not see the reason for boycotting intervarsity. Students are enjoying sport, so why not let them continue playing. Political matters should stay political matters. They should not let it interfere with sport matters.
